What He Said

For the first time ever, I own me a cell phone. Had to have a number to put on my resume, so any potential employers can get ahold of me at any time.

I'm considering this song for my ring tone.

Too obvious?

Paycheck lacks ambiguity here, however that may be a safer ringtone than Cash's "Oney". "... with a right hand full of knuckles 'cause today I show old Oney who's the boss!" How come these fellas named Johnny have such trouble with authority? Any input little bro? NOK

Mostly because those of us named Johnny are incurable @holes that like to start fights for no apparent reason. Sister Sasster, I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or pity you regarding your cell phone purchase. I've never experienced such a love/hate relationship with any other inanimate object the way I have with the celly. I wish you great luck in your employment search; I truly understand the urge. If your search uncovers anyone searching for surly, anti-authority meatheads of Celtic descent, please pass along any such opportunities ;)

Love,

Little brother

Maybe a bit too obvious. I'd be cautious about using social media to express this type of discontent when on a job search. I'm told that in general, more people see this stuff than we might think...

Look at you guys! Still checking in here even though I haven't posted since January. I'm touched, y'all!

Yes, I suppose I need a subtler ringtone choice. I'll probably stick with the inoffensive, generic ringtones that came with the phone for now. What I really want, though, is that Samuel L. Jackson quote from Snakes on a Plane, where he shouts, "I've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLaX8UvVUQw
You'll never miss a call.

Also, "surly, anti-authority meatheads of Celtic descent"? You've seen my cover letter!
