Advice Please

OK womyns. I need you to tell me the truth about this sweater:

Is it all "Who wants to hear a story!" or can I wear it to work and be taken seriously by adults? Be brutal -- I only paid a buck for it at Goodwill.

If you wear it with a kickin' above-the-knee, slim on the hips skirt, yes. If you paired it with anything full and blousy on the bottom, like a denim drindle, hmm, then maybe not. Okay, who doesn't love a cardigan? For a buck?

BTW, how are you?

i know you didn't ask for any myn's comments...but wow! what a perfect combo of the hepster silhouette that the kids of today love, and the 'these graphics are so heavy, that they all cluster near the bottom of my sensible top' look that screams gradeschool teacher...tough call.

About time someone asked for my fashion opinion. I love the cardigan and it's classic, simple lines. Didn't Jackie O wear something like that? Of course, you may want to wait for RockSAY to weigh in on this one.

SEHP, I always want your opinion.

NE, yes the full denim skirt surely is the uniform of the daycare lady/kindergarten teacher?

B, where is that RockSAY? Dreaming about Josh Homme, no doubt.

maybe if you bring enough sippy cups filled with juicy juicy for everyone at the boardmeeting, you can walk that fashion fine line with alacrity and grace.

I dunno--I think it kind of says "Today we're going to make our own Torahs with toilet paper tubes and glitter. Ya know?

Pair with black pumps - you're good.

sorry to leave the peeps hangin' . . . Josh has been ever so demanding of late.

now despite what has been bandied about in this ppost, i am not the best person to ask for fashion advice. my dress style could best be defined as ridiculous bordering on the inappropriate.

BUT . . . now that i've issued that disclaimer . . . i think it all depends on the fit and i can't really tell from the photo. what i would suggest is that if cardies are at all baggy and unfitted (ie hangs straightdown from the underarm seems), they have a tendency to look frumpy, no matter what the graphics are. especially if one happens is at all top-heavy. UNLESS, they are paired with something very fitted and edgy - ie a black pencil skirt and some wicked pumps as suggested.

that said, it is still a great buy - a good cardugan for a buck? c'mon - how ya gonna top that?

i hope that's helpful . . . it's not snotty, is it?

I agree with the pencil skirt suggestion. Anything not fitted runs the risk of looking matronly.
But I like the sweater- a dollar well spent!
