Where "Country" Isn't a Dis

If you can't get down with my grandma sweater, can you get down with camouflage formal wear? My niece and her date were rocking matching camouflage to the prom:

Dig the hunter orange sash! Aunt Becky made the dress.

Then they were named Prom King and Queen!

Aww. So great! Meanwhile, her dad seems a little stunned by his beautiful young woman:

Congratulations, A! Love you! See ya at graduation.

WOW. LOve the hunter orange accessories. They look great and they look like they're having a great time.

I just dressed my infant in a camo sleep 'n play (complete with blaze orange deer accent where the Izod alligator usually goes), so I can add "Huzzah!" to the prom queen and king.

I love the cammo prom attire! I'm always for going against the latest "fashion" (but maybe cammo is making a comeback?)
If we'd seen cammo at the prom during our era, the dude would have had a mohawk and both persons in the couple would have had multiple peircings! I like the look of this couple!

I would have loved some combat boots to go along with the dress, but I guess that's more of an early 90s thing. And my niece was born in 1990 ...that seems utterly impossible.

Man, the boys up in Ada, and Crookston, and Thief River Falls are going to be mighty jealous of this newly crowned dude.

That dress is fabulous. I love when people go out on a limb for events like this.

I adore the blaze orange feather boa. I would get one, but so few occasions in my life call for a boa of any color.

Wow! Thanks Aunt Mary from your niece.
