I do love that tune, but it doesn't seem to have any curative powers. Perhaps she overdid it a little on the glory notes, because my head sort of hurts. But with pipes like that, I can forgive. Any other remedies to suggest?
Shawn Colvin, "Fat City," powdered ginger tea drink in the mornings and afternoons, drunk hot, found at Shuang Hur (University and Dale St); at night, Evening in Missoula (TeaSource) tea with two fingers of brandy. Gargle full glass of salt water a.m. and p.m. Buy flowers.
Oh, I've tried the neti pot. It's kind of unpleasant having salt water down the back of your throat, but it's something to do. If I'm desperate to clear out my sinuses, I like to eat something spicy. Last time, it was the spicy Cheetos.
Thanks for the tips, NE. (I like to think of you as Nebraska, sometimes.) You've obviously done this before.
I swear that a supplement you can buy OTC called "Emergen-C" really helps. I have been suffering from a cold for about a week, but the supplement seemed to get the worst part over quickly. I hope you feel better soon!
Since I can't shake my cough--probably need to stop being stubborn and take anti-biotics--my advice sucks...but I do like that "Promiscuous" song of late. And Mylo's "In My Arms" is the undisputed champ. Check it out and shake your booty!!
What's the time? It's time to get ill! I mean, "It's time to get well!" -cK
Like CK I have only bad advice, I haven't been able to shake my cough either. Gives me an excuse for why I run so slow. My song suggestion would Crash on the Barrelhead by the Old 97's. It might not make you better, but it always makes me laugh. Maybe I'll try the neti pot.
