Close. It's the National Guard Armory in town, which is now used by the schools. There's a little classroom in there in which I attended kindergarten. I believe the joint has hosted one thousand wedding dances -- it's really the only place of any size in Howard, S.D., population 1,000 or so.
Man, it brings back the days we'd polka at wedding receptions in the basement of the American Legion in East Grand Forks. . . . Bride and groom look dashing here.
I saw Elbee this weekend; she's right, you and I should get together this summer!

Or it could easily be the basement of the Ridgway K of C Hall, where I'm sure I drank at least 100 drinks involving sloe gin.

Ooh yeah, was it poufy and colourful or tasteful and again-wearable?
Oh I wasn't a bridesmaid, so I could assign my own dress. However, her bridesmaids were in tasteful black. Nice.
