Sun Anyone?

I think I'm going to spend some of my hard-earned cash on a sunny vacation in February -- see if I can't stave off the mid-winter blues. Anyone want to join me? No kayaking experience necessary!

This year, I'm doing Europe for spring break, so...no Mexico.

But lordy, I could use me some Mexico.

You could sneak about Cancun with the geogeeks! The Muse and I will be there in early March for the GeoAmericas show.

I can't, honey, but we went to a lovely island on the Gulf side of FL this past March, and I couldn't recommend it more. If we'd stayed in the Cities any longer, it would have been Mexico every February, just when you think the icy crust will never thaw.

Do it. And drink a Corona for me.

I have no extra hard-earned cash, otherwise you could count me in. I do have an in on a cheap and beautiful beachside condo in Puerto Rico, as a future option. I'm counting on that four-year graduation contract my daughter signed with the U because after that it's winter getaway for this momma.

Speaking all things Mexican, I am up for a Manny's torta anytime. . . .

I'm down with the sickness cK - how much fun would we all have in Meh Hico?

I can't plan that far in advance, but it's an appealing thought.

Gotdamn I wish I could do that! But this winter we have to pay for the cat's radiation treatment (no, I'm not kidding).

The only thing nerdier than having a cat with hypothyroidism is going to the GeoAmericas show.

AS a public service annoucement airfare to the great barrier reef (which offers 1000's of miles of white sand beaches and better drinking atomosphere) MSP to LAX to Sydney to Cairns with optional stop in Auckland NZ for the special price of...... $1350 rountrip and of course I have you booked on Qantas airlines where the drinks are complimentary (cuz ya need some on the 16 hour flight from LA to Sydney) Just an option for ya. I would just hate to see any more hard earned American cash flow south than has to.
